Olivia 'Olli' Stephens is a visual artist from St. Vincent and the Grenadines who built a life around her passion for the creative arts. Over the last decade, she has participated in several community-based initiatives focused on increasing environmental awareness and cultural heritage preservation. As a freelance creative, she is currently exploring the realms of graphic design and animation in her creative practice.
To date, Olli has completed several murals around mainland St. Vincent with the Contemporary Young Artists' Movement, most notably the “Our Living Heritage” mural (c. 2013) located in Kingstown. In 2018, she participated in the One Drop in the Ocean project - an independent initiative led by Vincentian artists to transform marine debris into art from 2017 to 2018.
Since 2020, her love for the natural world has been woven into her professional design practice. She often works with NGOs, such as Hand2Earth and Ripples to Waves, helping them translate their ideas and distill their project outcomes into shareable visuals to increase public awareness of eco conservation and sustainable livelihoods.
She currently serves as the Art Director at Hairouna Film Festival, a free traveling outdoor film festival based in SVG. As a founding member of HFF, Olivia’s knowledge and expertise has been instrumental in the organization’s growth and development since its inception in 2018.
